No. 48362 of 2009 :\n<\/p>\n<p>             Application is allowed and reply by way of affidavit of<br \/>\nrespondent no.2 is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions.<br \/>\nMain Case :\n<\/p>\n<p>             Daljit Singh and five others have filed this petition under<br \/>\nSection 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (in short &#8211; Cr.P.C.) for<br \/>\nquashing of FIR No.28 dated 07.02.1998, under Sections 420, 467, 471,<br \/>\n452, 427, 380, 506 of the Indian Penal Code (in short &#8211; IPC), registered at<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                           Crl. Misc. No. M-26329 of 2009 (O&amp;M)             2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Police Station Civil Lines, District Amritsar (Annexure P-1), in view of<br \/>\ncompromise (Annexure P-2) effected with complainant-respondent no.2.\n<\/p>\n<p>            Respondent no. 2 in his reply affidavit has stated that parties<br \/>\nhave effected compromise with the intervention of respectables and<br \/>\ntherefore, respondent no.2 has no objection to the quashing of FIR. Learned<br \/>\ncounsel for respondent no.2, on instructions from respondent no.2, who is<br \/>\nalso present in person     in the Court, states that parties have effected<br \/>\ncompromise Annexure P-2 and therefore, respondent no.2 has no objection<br \/>\nto the quashing of FIR.\n<\/p>\n<p>            In appropriate cases, FIR can be quashed on the basis of<br \/>\ncompromise by exercising power under Section 482 Cr. P. C., even if the<br \/>\noffences are not compoundable. It has been so held by a Full Bench of this<br \/>\nCourt in case of <a href=\"\/doc\/1915896\/\">Kulwinder Singh vs. State of Punjab<\/a> reported as 2007<br \/>\n(3) Law Herald (Punjab and Haryana) 2225.\n<\/p>\n<p>            In the instant case, complainant-respondent no.2 is real brother<br \/>\nof petitioner no.4, whereas other petitioners are companions of petitioner<br \/>\nno.4. Various civil and criminal cases were pending between the parties and<br \/>\nthe same have been compromised. The dispute regarding property\/share in<br \/>\nland has also been settled. Accordingly, it is a fit case in which FIR should<br \/>\nbe quashed, so that the parties may live in peace and harmony and entire<br \/>\nlitigation between them may come to an end.\n<\/p>\n<p>            In view of the aforesaid, the instant petition is allowed and<br \/>\nimpugned FIR No. No.28 dated 07.02.1998, under Sections 420, 467, 471,<br \/>\n452, 427, 380, 506 IPC, registered at Police Station Civil Lines, District<br \/>\nAmritsar (Annexure P-1) is quashed, along with all consequential<br \/>\nproceedings arising therefrom.\n<\/p>\n<pre>September 23, 2009                                 ( L.
