Sharma, Advocate\n              for the Union of India.\n\n              None for the respondents.\n\nRAJESH BINDAL J.\n\n                       ****\n<\/pre>\n<p>              This appeal has been filed by the Union of India seeking reduction<br \/>\nof compensation for the acquired land.\n<\/p>\n<p>              Briefly, the facts are that land situated in village Daba, Tehsil and<br \/>\nDistrict Ludhiana was acquired by the Government of India for defence purpose,<br \/>\nnamely Dholewal Complex. The landowners feeling dissatisfied filed petitions<br \/>\nunder the Requisitioning and Acquisition of Immovable Property Act, 1952, for<br \/>\ndetermination of compensation. The learned Court below was appointed as<br \/>\nArbitrator, who determined the compensation payable to the landowners @ Rs.<br \/>\n140\/- per square yard. The Union of India is in appeal against the award of the<br \/>\nArbitrator.\n<\/p>\n<p>              Learned counsel for the appellant fairly submitted that the issue<br \/>\ninvolved in the present appeal is squarely covered by the judgment of this Court<br \/>\nin Dr. Jagdish Parkash Vs.
