After issuance of Rule on 19.9.2011, it was pleaded before<br \/>\nthis Court by the State that the local police officers were unable to<br \/>\ntrace the respondents concerned, who were alleged to have taken away<br \/>\nthe daughters of the petitioner and their children.  Therefore, it<br \/>\nwas requested that the Local Crime Branch may be directed to take<br \/>\nover the task of investigating into the matter in which serious<br \/>\ncognizable offences prima facie appeared<br \/>\nto have been committed.  Thereafter, today, the same police officers,<br \/>\nwho were present on the last occasion, who had requested for transfer<br \/>\nof investigation to the Local Crime Branch, have produced three<br \/>\ndaughters of the petitioner along with their children.  It is also<br \/>\nreported, on instructions, by learned APP that appropriate<br \/>\ninvestigation into the<br \/>\nalleged offences shall now be<br \/>\nexpeditiously carried out and appropriate report shall be submitted<br \/>\nto the Court concerned for prosecution and trial.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.\tIn<br \/>\nthe meantime, daughters of the petitioner have expressed their<br \/>\nwillingness to return to the house of the petitioner, who is<br \/>\npersonally present in the Court.  Under the circumstances, learned<br \/>\ncounsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will take<br \/>\nhis daughters to his own house but due to his apprehensions about<br \/>\nsafety and security of his daughters, the police officers who are<br \/>\npresent in the Court, may be directed to see that the petitioner and<br \/>\nhis daughters are safely returned to their residence.  It was<br \/>\nconceded that nothing further was required to be done as far as the<br \/>\npresent petition is concerned.  Accordingly, the petition is disposed<br \/>\nand Rule is discharged, recording the statement of learned APP that<br \/>\nthe petitioner and his daughters shall be provided adequate<br \/>\nprotection and shall be escorted to their residence.
