Both the parties were heard on 12th August, 2010.\n\n2.     The appellant has alleged corrupt practices in issuance of licenses by the\nDirectorate General of Foreign Trade to different parties. The matter was\nexamined and investigated BY the respondent. In response to the RTI<\/pre>\n<p>application, the respondent has refused to furnish the information on the ground<br \/>\nthat the respondent is covered under section 24 (1) of the Act and, therefore, it<br \/>\nwas not liable to disclose the information.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.      During the course of hearing, it was admitted that the information asked<br \/>\nfor relate to alleged corruption. Since the matter relating to human rights violation<br \/>\nand corruption are covered under the provisions of the Act, the officials of the<br \/>\nrespondent agreed to provide a suitable response on the basis of available<br \/>\nrecords within 15 days from the receipt of this decision.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.
