Basant, J.\n<\/p>\n
       The petitioner has come to this Court seeking issue<\/p>\n
of directions under Article 226 of the constitution to<\/p>\n
respondents 1 to 3 to afford police protection to the<\/p>\n
petitioners against the wanton, culpable and violent acts<\/p>\n
of his son, the fourth respondent herein.<\/p>\n
      2. According to the petitioner, he and his wife reside<\/p>\n
in a residential building which stands in the name of the<\/p>\n
petitioner and which is situated in a property belonging to<\/p>\n
his brother-in-law. The petitioner is the Power of Attorney<\/p>\n
holder of the said brother-in-law who is said to be<\/p>\n
employed in the United States. The petitioner and his wife<\/p>\n
are residing in the residential building situated in the<\/p>\n
property.     The fourth respondent was indulging in<\/p>\n
contumacious and culpable acts against the petitioner and<\/p>\n
the petitioner was in these circumstances constrained to<\/p>\n
approach the civil court and obtain Ext.P5 decree.<\/p>\n

   Subsequently, the petitioner had come to this Court<\/p>\n
   seeking police protection and it is submitted that such<\/p>\n
   petition was earlier allowed.     Subsequently, the parties<\/p>\n
   had come to agreement and the fourth respondent was<\/p>\n
   residing with the petitioner and his wife in the property.<\/p>\n
   But, according to the petitioner, the attitude of the fourth<\/p>\n
   respondent changed and he is now indulging in<\/p>\n
   contumacious, culpable and violent acts against the<\/p>\n
   petitioner. It is in these circumstances that the petitioner<\/p>\n
   came to this Court with this petition. Interim directions<\/p>\n
   were issued on 14.1.2011.       Respondents 1 to 3 were<\/p>\n
   directed “to afford protection to the petitioner against the<\/p>\n
   violent acts from the fourth respondent against the<\/p>\n
   petitioner”. That direction is still in force.<\/p>\n
         3. The fourth respondent has entered appearance<\/p>\n
   before court.     He submits that actually the property<\/p>\n
   belongs to his uncle and the petitioner’s father is acting on<\/p>\n
   the strength of a power of attorney issued in his favour by<\/p>\n
   his uncle. His uncle, according to the fourth respondent,<\/p>\n
   now wants to revoke the power of attorney. The fourth<\/p>\n
   respondent is worried that the petitioner may, making use<\/p>\n

   of the power of attorney, alienate the property belonging<\/p>\n
   to his maternal uncle.\n<\/p>\n
         4. The fourth respondent categorically states before<\/p>\n
   Court that he is not now residing with the petitioner in the<\/p>\n
   house in question.     He shall not go to the house in<\/p>\n
   question.    Against the apprehended alienation of the<\/p>\n
   property by the petitioner, the fourth respondent shall<\/p>\n
   take necessary steps in accordance with law. The fourth<\/p>\n
   respondent undertakes that he shall not go to the house<\/p>\n
   where the petitioner resides along with his wife (i.e. the<\/p>\n
   mother of the fourth respondent). He shall not indulge in<\/p>\n
   any contumacious, culpable and violent acts against the<\/p>\n
   petitioner. This undertaking may be accepted. No further<\/p>\n
   directions are necessary, submits the learned counsel for<\/p>\n
   the fourth respondent.\n<\/p>\n
         5. Notice was given to the learned Government<\/p>\n
   Pleader and the learned Government Pleader on behalf of<\/p>\n
   respondents 1 to 3 submits that the interim order dated<\/p>\n
   14.1.2011 is being enforced scrupulously.           In the<\/p>\n
   perception of respondents 1 to 3, there is no threat to the<\/p>\n
   life or person of the petitioner now.      In view of the<\/p>\n
wpc No.781\/2011         4<\/span><\/p>\n
   undertaking by the fourth respondent that he shall not<\/p>\n
   enter the house where the petitioner resides and shall not<\/p>\n
   cause any harm to the petitioner, no further specific<\/p>\n
   directions are necessary.       The interim order dated<\/p>\n
   14.1.2011 may be made absolute and this proceedings<\/p>\n
   may be closed, submits the learned Government Pleader.<\/p>\n
         6. We have considered all the relevant inputs. We<\/p>\n
   take note of the undertaking given by the fourth<\/p>\n
   respondent. We take note of the submission of the learned<\/p>\n
   Government Pleader.       We are, in these circumstances,<\/p>\n
   satisfied that the interim directions issued on 14.1.2011<\/p>\n
   can be made absolute and further proceedings can be<\/p>\n
   closed.\n<\/p>\n
         7. This petition is accordingly allowed. The interim<\/p>\n
   direction issued on 14.1.2011 is made absolute.<\/p>\n
