No.167 of 2006\n    ------------------------------------------------\n      Dated this the 18th day of August, 2009\n\n                    JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>Pius C. Kuriakose, J<\/p>\n<p>      Even though Mrs.Latha Krishnan, the learned<\/p>\n<p>counsel   for  the   appellant   addressed    us   very<\/p>\n<p>strenuously, we do not find any warrant for<\/p>\n<p>interference. The Reference Court re-fixed the land<\/p>\n<p>value of wet lands for which the Land Acquisition<\/p>\n<p>Officer has awarded value at the rate of Rs.3056\/- per<\/p>\n<p>Are, as Rs.4584\/- per Are. For the reclaimed lands for<\/p>\n<p>which the Land Acquisition Officer has awarded value<\/p>\n<p>at the rate of Rs.6672\/-, the Reference Court has re-\n<\/p>\n<p>fixed the value at Rs.10,008. The re-determination of<\/p>\n<p>the market value by the Reference Court will stand<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">L. A. A. No.167 of 2006         -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>      approved. The appeal will stand dismissed.\n<\/p>\n<p>            2. It is made clear that the amount which was<\/p>\n<p>      paid to the claimant towards reclamation charges by<\/p>\n<p>      the Land Acquisition Officer will be deducted from the<\/p>\n<p>      total compensation. It is needless to mention that the<\/p>\n<p>      respondent\/claimant will be entitled for all statutory<\/p>\n<p>      benefits on the total enhanced compensation to which<\/p>\n<p>      he becomes eligible by virtue of our re-fixation under<\/p>\n<p>      this judgment.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                        PIUS C.
