Justice K.SURENDRA MOHAN\n\n Dated :18\/01\/2011\n\n O R D E R\n           R.BASANT &amp; K.SURENDRA MOHAN, JJ.\n                     ***********************\n                     W.P(C) No.914 of 2011\n                   *****************************\n            Dated this the 18th day of January, 2011\n\n                           JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>BASANT, J.\n<\/p>\n<p>      The petitioner has come to this Court with this petition<\/p>\n<p>under Article 226 of the Constitution seeking issue of directions<\/p>\n<p>to respondents 1 to 5 to afford police protection for the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner against the highhanded, violent and culpable acts on<\/p>\n<p>the part of the 2nd respondent, with whom the petitioner was<\/p>\n<p>associated in a business.\n<\/p>\n<p>      2.   The matter was admitted on 11.01.11 and was posted<\/p>\n<p>to this day.\n<\/p>\n<p>      3.   The 2nd respondent has been served.       No counter<\/p>\n<p>affidavit or objection has been filed. The learned Government<\/p>\n<p>Pleader after taking instructions from the 1st respondent submits<\/p>\n<p>that in the perception of the 1st respondent, there is no threat<\/p>\n<p>now to the life or person of the petitioner.<\/p>\n<p>      4.   It appears that there are some disputes between the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner and the 2nd respondent, who were associates in their<\/p>\n<p>business. There have been allegations and counter allegations.<\/p>\n<p>At any rate, the 1st respondent does not perceive any threat to<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P(C) No.914 of 2011           2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>the life or person of the petitioner at the hands of the 2nd<\/p>\n<p>respondent. However, the learned Government Pleader submits<\/p>\n<p>that if there be any allegations of threat or risk to the life and<\/p>\n<p>person of the petitioner, the petitioner shall be at liberty to<\/p>\n<p>complain to the police, whereupon the police shall take<\/p>\n<p>necessary action to afford protection to the petitioner.<\/p>\n<p>      5.    We are satisfied, in these circumstances, that no<\/p>\n<p>specific directions need be issued to the 1st respondent. The 1st<\/p>\n<p>respondent, we clarify, shall not and need not interfere in the<\/p>\n<p>civil dispute between the petitioner and the 2nd respondent.
