Justice P.N.RAVINDRAN\n\n Dated :30\/04\/2010\n\n O R D E R\n                        P.N.RAVINDRAN, J.\n                      ----------------------------\n                      W.P.(C)No.13976 of 2010\n                      ----------------------------\n                       Dated 30th April, 2010\n\n                             JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>            The petitioner is a former employee of the Kerala State<\/p>\n<p>Road Transport Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the `KSRTC&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>for short).   He retired from service on 30.6.2008 while he was<\/p>\n<p>working as Painter in the KSRTC. This writ petition is filed seeking<\/p>\n<p>expeditious payment of DCRG and commuted value of pension on the<\/p>\n<p>ground that the petitioner had incurred heavy expenditure in<\/p>\n<p>connection with the marriage of his daughter, which was solemnized<\/p>\n<p>on 30.12.2009.\n<\/p>\n<p>            2. Sri.V.V.Nandagopal Nambiar, the learned standing<\/p>\n<p>counsel appearing for the KSRTC, submits that if after enquiry the<\/p>\n<p>Corporation is satisfied that the marriage of the petitioner&#8217;s daughter<\/p>\n<p>was solemnized on 30.12.2009, the Corporation will take steps to<\/p>\n<p>pay DCRG and commuted value of pension to the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>overlooking priority.\n<\/p>\n<p>            In such circumstances, I dispose of this writ petition with<\/p>\n<p>a direction to the respondents to enquire into the genuineness of the<\/p>\n<p>claim made by the petitioner for out of turn payment of DCRG and<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">WP(C).No.13976\/2010                  2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>commuted value of pension and to make such payment within one<\/p>\n<p>month from the date of production of a copy of this judgment, if the<\/p>\n<p>claim of the petitioner is found to be genuine.<\/p>\n<p>                                          P.N.RAVINDRAN<br \/>\n                                               Judge<\/p>\n<p>TKS<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kerala High Court P.Thankachan vs Kerala State Road Transport &#8230; on 30 April, 2010 IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM WP(C).No. 13976 of 2010(V) 1.
