Jindal, J<br \/>\n              This appeal for enhancement is directed against the award dated<br \/>\n2.6.2008 passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Chandigarh, vide<br \/>\nwhich the appellant-claimant was awarded compensation to the tune of<br \/>\nRs.4000\/- along with interest @ 6% per annum from the date of filing of the<br \/>\npetition till realization, on account of the injuries suffered by him. Neither<br \/>\nnegligence nor liability has been challenged by the respondents by filing<br \/>\nappeal.\n<\/p>\n<p>              Grievance of the appellant-claimant is that the Tribunal has<br \/>\nawarded compensation on the lower side as he has been awarded only<br \/>\nRs.4000\/- for the multiple grievous injuries suffered by him.\n<\/p>\n<p>              Having perused the impugned award, it transpires that the<br \/>\nappellant has been awarded compensation on account of the medical<br \/>\nexpenses incurred by him. Nothing has been awarded on account of pain<br \/>\nand sufferings and transportation etc.<br \/>\n              As such, this appeal is partly accepted and the appellant would<br \/>\nreceive a sum of Rs.10,000\/- over and above the amount awarded along<br \/>\nwith interest on the same rate as awarded by the Tribunal.\n<\/p>\n<pre>July 30, 2009                                            (A.N.
