Clerk in the Special<\/p>\n<p>Tahasildar&#8217;s office at Kollam, petitioner was promoted as<\/p>\n<p>Village Officer by Exhibit-P1 order dated 19.7.2006 and<\/p>\n<p>posted in Kannur District. But apparently there was an<\/p>\n<p>error in the order in as much as that petitioner was<\/p>\n<p>shown as posted from Kottayam to Kannur whereas she<\/p>\n<p>was posted from Kollam to Kannur.           Petitioner was not<\/p>\n<p>relieved from Kollam and therefore she could not join<\/p>\n<p>duty at Kannur. The error was corrected by subsequent<\/p>\n<p>order dated 4.8.2006.           But even that was not<\/p>\n<p>communicated to the petitioner.        She was not therefore<\/p>\n<p>relieved from the office of the Special Tahalsildar at<\/p>\n<p>Kollam. The said order was cancelled. The net result is<\/p>\n<p>that petitioner continued as a U.D Clerk at Kollam. But<\/p>\n<p>juniors came to be promoted as Village Officer and they<\/p>\n<p>took charge in the respective stations.           It is only by<\/p>\n<p>12.12.2007,    petitioner    was     ultimately     posted   in<\/p>\n<p>W.P ( C) No.19934 of 2008<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                  2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Malappuram, where she is currently working, petitioner<\/p>\n<p>rightly feels that for no fault of hers, she has been deprived<\/p>\n<p>posting as a Village Officer with effect from July, 2006.<\/p>\n<p>When her juniors were promoted and posted as Village<\/p>\n<p>Officer, she is entitled to maintain her seniority in terms of<\/p>\n<p>the order dated      19.7.2006 by which she was originally<\/p>\n<p>promoted as Village Officer. Her request in this regard is<\/p>\n<p>pending before the 1st respondent as Exhibit-P2.<\/p>\n<p>2.    I heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned<\/p>\n<p>Government Pleader.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.
