Respondents.\n\n\nPrayer: Original Application No.640 of 2001 filed before the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal, on abolition, transferred to the file of this Court and renumbered as Writ Petition No.379 of 2007, seeking for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to absorb the petitioner in regular establishment in Bhavani or in any other Panchayat Union in Erode District as a Tailoring Instructress with effect from 17.10.1989, i.e., the date of her first appointment or in any other suitable post in any Department of the Government, as was extended by the Government to similarly placed persons previously, commensurate with her educational and technical qualifications.\n\n\t\tFor Petitioner\t  : Mr.M.Ravi\n\n\t\tFor Respondents    : Ms.S.Anitha\n\t\t\t\t\t     Government Advocate\n\nO R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>\tHeard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2. Though the prayer sought for by the petitioners in the present writ petition is for a larger relief, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that it would suffice, if the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.8.1999, is directed to be disposed of by the first respondent, on merits, within a specified period.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, without going into the merits of case, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representation, dated 20.8.1999, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order,  if it has not been disposed of till date. The petitioner is directed to furnish to the first respondent a copy of the representation, dated 20.8.1999, along with a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
