JOSEPH, J.\n\n            ````````````````````````````````````````````````````\n                  W.P.(C) No. 22411 OF 2008 R\n            ````````````````````````````````````````````````````\n               Dated this the 31st day of July, 2008\n\n                          J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>            Petitioner has approached this Court seeking a<\/p>\n<p>mandamus commanding respondents 1 to 4 to refrain from<\/p>\n<p>unduly favouring the 5th respondent to draw electric line<\/p>\n<p>through the property of the petitioner. Learned counsel for<\/p>\n<p>petitioner submits that the petitioner has not given any<\/p>\n<p>consent to draw electric line across her property for giving<\/p>\n<p>connection to the 5th respondent.                Learned Government<\/p>\n<p>Pleader, on instructions, submits that no order as such has<\/p>\n<p>been passed under section 16 of the Indian Telegraph Act.<\/p>\n<p>Necessarily, unless permission is obtained under section 16<\/p>\n<p>of the Act, line cannot be drawn across the petitioner&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>property in the light of the resistance of the petitioner and also<\/p>\n<p>that there is no consent given by her. In such circumstances,<\/p>\n<p>writ petition is disposed of directing that unless permission is<\/p>\n<p>obtained under section 16 of the Telegraph Act from the<\/p>\n<p>WPC.22411\/08<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                              : 2 :<\/span><\/p>\n<p>petitioner, line cannot be drawn across the property of the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner for giving connection to the 5th respondent.
