JOSEPH FRANCIS, JJ.\n               - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n                   W.P.(C).No. 7540 of 2010 N\n               - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n            Dated this the 23rd day of March, 2010\n\n                              JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>Joseph, J.\n<\/p>\n<p>      The petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to<\/p>\n<p>respondents 1 and 2 to render adequate and sufficient police<\/p>\n<p>protection to the life of the petitioner.<\/p>\n<p>      2. Briefly the case of the petitioner is as follows.            The<\/p>\n<p>petitioner&#8217;s daughter filed a criminal complaint against her<\/p>\n<p>husband and his relatives alleging offences punishable under<\/p>\n<p>Sections 406 and 498A I.P.C.              On the basis of the complaint,<\/p>\n<p>Vadakara Police registered Crime No. 236 of 2010. Thereafter<\/p>\n<p>respondents 3 and 4 are threatening the petitioner with dire<\/p>\n<p>consequences. There is threat to his life also.<\/p>\n<p>      3. A counter affidavit has been filed. Therein it is stated<\/p>\n<p>that respondents 3 and 4 have been arrested and released on bail.<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C).No. 7540 of 2010<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">                                  2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>      3. In the circumstances of this case, we dispose of the Writ<\/p>\n<p>Petition directing that as and when required, respondents 1 and 2 will<\/p>\n<p>render sufficient protection for the life of the petitioner as against<\/p>\n<p>respondents 3 and 4.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                        (K.
