{"id":201450,"date":"2011-03-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-03-02T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/judgments\/secretary-general-received-the-message-from-rajya-sabha-that-rajya-on-3-march-2011"},"modified":"2015-07-02T15:59:30","modified_gmt":"2015-07-02T10:29:30","slug":"secretary-general-received-the-message-from-rajya-sabha-that-rajya-on-3-march-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/judgments\/secretary-general-received-the-message-from-rajya-sabha-that-rajya-on-3-march-2011","title":{"rendered":"Secretary-General Received The Message From Rajya Sabha That Rajya &#8230; on 3 March, 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"docsource_main\">Lok Sabha Debates<\/div>\n<div class=\"doc_title\">Secretary-General Received The Message From Rajya Sabha That Rajya &#8230; on 3 March, 2011<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<pre><\/pre>\n<p>                                                      &gt; <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=Title\">Title<\/a>: Secretary-General received the message from Rajya Sabha that Rajya Sabha concurs in the recommendations of Lok Sabha that Joint Committee of the Houses consisting of 20 Members from Lok Sabha and 10 Members from Rajya Sabha be constituted.   <\/p>\n<p>SECRETARY-GENERAL: Madam Speaker, I have to report the following message received from the Secretary-General of Rajya Sabha:-  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That this House concurs in the recommendations of Lok Sabha that Joint Committee of the Houses consisting of 30 Members, 20 from Lok Sabha and 10 from Rajya Sabha, be constituted:\u2014  <\/p>\n<p>(i)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0to examine policy prescriptions and their interpretation thereafter by successive Governments, including decisions of the Union Cabinet and the consequences thereof, in the allocation and pricing of telecom licences and spectrum from 1998 to 2009;  <\/p>\n<p>(ii)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0to examine irregularities and aberrations, if any, and the consequences thereof in the implementation of Government decisions and policy prescriptions from 1998 to 2009; and  <\/p>\n<p>(iii) to make recommendations to ensure formulation of appropriate procedures for implementation of laid down policy in the allocation and pricing of telecom licences.  <\/p>\n<p>As made in the Motion adopted by Lok Sabha on the 24th February, 2011 and communicated to this House on the 25th February, 2011 and resolves that this House do join in the said Committee and do appoint the following 10 Members from among the Members of this House to serve on the said Committee:\u2014  <\/p>\n<p>1)\u00a0 Prof. P.J. Kurien  <\/p>\n<p>2)\u00a0\u00a0 Smt. Jayanthi Natarajan  <\/p>\n<p>3)\u00a0\u00a0 Shri Praveen Rashtrapal  <\/p>\n<p>4)\u00a0\u00a0 Shri Tiruchi Siva  <\/p>\n<p>5)\u00a0 Dr. Yogendra P. Trivedi  <\/p>\n<p>6)\u00a0\u00a0 Shri S.S.
