No. 2224 of 2011\n<\/p>\n<p>                   1)     The present application has been preferred for amendment in<br \/>\n                   the writ petition mainly because of the reason that the selection process<br \/>\n                   which was initiated by the respondents for the post of Home Guard has<br \/>\n                   now been cancelled without any proper authority.\n<\/p>\n<p>                   2)     Having heard learned counsel for both the sides and looking to<br \/>\n                   the facts and circumstances of the case, it appears that initially a<br \/>\n                   counter affidavit was filed by the State to the effect that the selection<br \/>\n                   process for the post of Home Guard was kept in abeyance and,<br \/>\n                   therefore, a direction was given to the respondents vide order dated<br \/>\n                   16th July, 2010 to complete the proceeding within four months from<br \/>\n                   the date of the order. Thereafter, what step taken by the respondents-<br \/>\n                   State is that the whole selection process has been cancelled and,<br \/>\n                   therefore, the present amendment application has been preferred.\n<\/p>\n<p>                   3)     Looking to the nature of allegation, this interlocutory<br \/>\n                   application is allowed. The amendment shall be carried out in the red<br \/>\n                   ink in the original petition.\n<\/p>\n<p>                   4)     Put up this case on 5th September, 2011.\n<\/p>\n<p>                   5)     Meanwhile, the State is directed to file a counter affidavit of the<br \/>\n                   amended version of the writ petition.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                                                     (D.
