Justice ANTONY DOMINIC\n\n Dated :04\/03\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                         ANTONY DOMINIC, J.\n\n                    =W.P.(C) = = = = = = = = =\n                      = = =\n                               No.38210\/07 (W)\n                                 and\n                    =W.P. = = = = = = = = = =\n                            (C) No. 37 \/2008 (D)\n                      = =\n\n               Dated this the 4th day of March, 2008\n\n                            J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>      In these writ petitions, the petitioners who were admitted for<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor of Library and Information Science Course conducted by<\/p>\n<p>the 3rd respondent colleges in these cases.<\/p>\n<p>      2.   The dispute is regarding their eligibility to be admitted<\/p>\n<p>and according to the petitioners though they had less than 45% of<\/p>\n<p>marks at the time when they were admitted there was no<\/p>\n<p>requirement of any minimum marks. However, the fact remains that<\/p>\n<p>they were admitted and had commenced course.           As it presently<\/p>\n<p>stands from the stand of the University, it is evident that the matter<\/p>\n<p>regarding their eligibiilty is pending consideration of the Syndicate<\/p>\n<p>of the Mahatma Gandhi University and it is essentially for the<\/p>\n<p>Syndicate to take a decision in this matter.<\/p>\n<p>      3.   Now that the Syndicate is seized of the issue, these writ<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C) Nos. 38210\/07 &amp; 37\/08\n<\/p>\n<p>                                  &#8211; 2 &#8211;\n<\/p>\n<p>petitions are disposed of directing that a final decision on the<\/p>\n<p>eligibility of the petitioners to continue their course in their<\/p>\n<p>respective colleges will be decided by the Syndicate. This shall be<\/p>\n<p>done as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within 4 weeks of<\/p>\n<p>production of a copy of this judgment.
