              The petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482<\/p>\n
Cr.P.C. seeking protection, as they apprehend danger to their life and<\/p>\n
liberty at the hands of respondent No.4.<\/p>\n
              The petitioners claim that both of them are major and have<\/p>\n
married each other against the wishes of their parents. Reliance is<\/p>\n
placed on judgment reported as Fiaz Ahanger & Ors. v. State of J & K,<\/p>\n
2009 (3) RCR (Civil) 217.\n<\/p>\n
              Notice of motion to official respondents.<\/p>\n
              On asking of the court, Mr. M.C. Beri, Addl. Advocate<\/p>\n
General, Punjab accepts notice.\n<\/p>\n
              Without expressing any opinion with regard to age or<\/p>\n
validity of marriage of the petitioners, the instant petition is disposed of<\/p>\n
with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh\/<\/p>\n
respondent No.2, to look into the representation, Annexure P-5,<\/p>\n
preferred by the petitioners and take appropriate steps if circumstances<\/p>\n
so warrant.\n<\/p>\n
