Justice M.L.JOSEPH FRANCIS\n\n Dated :24\/02\/2010\n\n O R D E R\n          K.M.JOSEPH &amp; M.L.JOSEPH FRANCIS, JJ.\n        ------------------------------------------------------\n                W.P.(C) No.33504 of 2009-G\n           ----------------------------------------------\n          Dated, this the 24th day of February, 2010\n\n                         J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>K.M.Joseph, J.\n<\/p>\n<p>             The prayer in the writ petition is for adequate and<\/p>\n<p>effective police protection to the life of the petitioner       in<\/p>\n<p>attending the meeting on 23.11.2009 under the auspices of<\/p>\n<p>the 3rd respondent for formation of Vela Committee at the Sree<\/p>\n<p>Manappully Bhagavathy Temple premises.<\/p>\n<p>            2. This Court passed an interim order to afford<\/p>\n<p>protection for the attendance of the petitioner in the matter of<\/p>\n<p>the meeting of the festival committee. It is submitted that the<\/p>\n<p>meeting took place. However, the case of the petitioner is<\/p>\n<p>that the order of this Court is violated since the petitioner was<\/p>\n<p>not permitted to attend the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>            3. A counter affidavit has been filed by the 2nd<\/p>\n<p>respondent. A reply affidavit is also filed.<\/p>\n<p>             We feel that, in view of the fact that nothing<\/p>\n<p>survives in this writ petition and that if the order has been<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">WPC No.33504\/2009                        -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>violated by the authorities, it is for the petitioner to invoke this<\/p>\n<p>Court&#8217;s jurisdiction by taking appropriate steps.
