RESPONDENTS\n                              ----------------------------------\n<\/pre>\n<p>05.   12.08.2011              Counsel for the petitioner is not present.<\/p>\n<p>                     Counsel, appearing for the Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur<\/p>\n<p>                     University, Bhagalpur and the State is present.<\/p>\n<p>                              Petitioner&#8217;s prayer in this Writ Application<\/p>\n<p>                     was for a direction to the Respondents to make<\/p>\n<p>                     payment of arrears of salary in the revised pay-<\/p>\n<p>                     scale with effect from 01.01.1996. Petitioner&#8217;s claim<\/p>\n<p>                     was for Rs. 7,46,447\/- (seven lacs, forty six<\/p>\n<p>                     thousand, four hundred and forty seven) only,<\/p>\n<p>                     which includes his difference of arrears of salary in<\/p>\n<p>                     the revised pay-scale.\n<\/p>\n<p>                              Counter     Affidavit   and    Supplementary<\/p>\n<p>                     Counter Affidavit has been filed on behalf of the<\/p>\n<p>                     University.\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">                        2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>                 In the Supplementary Counter Affidavit, it<\/p>\n<p>      has been stated that total arrears of difference of<\/p>\n<p>      salary for the period January, 1996 to 23.05.2002<\/p>\n<p>      was calculated and the audited amount comes to<\/p>\n<p>      Rs. 5,64,544.40.
