Justice V.GIRI\n\n Dated :07\/07\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                         V.GIRI, J\n                       -------------------\n                    W.P.(C).20238\/2008\n                       --------------------\n             Dated this the 7th day of July, 2008\n\n                       JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>      Petitioners are Head Nurses in the Health Services<\/p>\n<p>Department and they are eligible for promotion to the post<\/p>\n<p>of Nursing Superintendent Grade-II. They are aggrieved<\/p>\n<p>by the fact     that though there are vacancies in the<\/p>\n<p>promotion post, steps have not been taken to fill up the<\/p>\n<p>same.      Reference is made to the fact that all the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners have a very short duration in service before<\/p>\n<p>their retirement.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>2.    On instructions,       learned Government Pleader<\/p>\n<p>submits that the second respondent has prepared a list of<\/p>\n<p>25 Head Nurses eligible for promotion to the Nursing<\/p>\n<p>Superintendent Grade-II and they are contemplating<\/p>\n<p>provisional promotion.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>3.    Having heard the learned counsel for the parties,<\/p>\n<p>writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent<\/p>\n<p>to take a decision in the matter of issuance of orders of<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C).20238\/2008<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                            2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>provisional promotion for the eligible Head Nurses to the<\/p>\n<p>post of Nursing Superintendent Grade-II, within a period<\/p>\n<p>of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this<\/p>\n<p>judgment.
