JUSTICE JASBIR SINGH\n\nPresent:      Mr.Rahul Chhatwal, Advocate for the petitioner\n                              .....\n<\/pre>\n<p>Jasbir Singh, J.(Oral)<\/p>\n<p>              In this writ petition, it is grievance of the petitioner that vide<\/p>\n<p>order dated 22.1.2007, pick-up van bearing No.PB-04-K-9645, of the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner, was requisitioned for election duty under orders passed by the<\/p>\n<p>Additional District Magistrate, Faridkot (respondent No.3). The vehicle<\/p>\n<p>remained with the respondents for a period of 37 days. Despite requests, no<\/p>\n<p>compensation has been paid to the petitioner.\n<\/p>\n<p>              By stating his grievance, the petitioner has sent a legal notice<\/p>\n<p>for release of outstanding dues on 23.1.2009(P3). In response thereto, vide<\/p>\n<p>letter dated 20.2.2009(P4), he was intimated that case for release of funds,<\/p>\n<p>to make payment to the petitioner, on the rate fixed, is pending with the<\/p>\n<p>government.\n<\/p>\n<p>              This Court feels that the attitude of the authorities is not<\/p>\n<p>justified.   It has come on record that vehicle of the petitioner was<\/p>\n<p>requisitioned and used for election duty. If that is so, the respondents are<\/p>\n<p>duty bound to make payment, as per norms.\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\"> Civil Writ Petition No.12017 of 2009                                       2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>              This writ petition is disposed of by issuing directions to<\/p>\n<p>respondent No.2 to make payment to the petitioner for use of his vehicle, as<\/p>\n<p>per norms.
