{"id":210181,"date":"2008-03-19T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2008-03-18T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/judgments\/the-minister-of-state-in-the-ministry-of-rural-development-laid-a-on-19-march-2008"},"modified":"2016-08-07T17:53:12","modified_gmt":"2016-08-07T12:23:12","slug":"the-minister-of-state-in-the-ministry-of-rural-development-laid-a-on-19-march-2008","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/judgments\/the-minister-of-state-in-the-ministry-of-rural-development-laid-a-on-19-march-2008","title":{"rendered":"The Minister Of State In The Ministry Of Rural Development Laid A &#8230; on 19 March, 2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"docsource_main\">Lok Sabha Debates<\/div>\n<div class=\"doc_title\">The Minister Of State In The Ministry Of Rural Development Laid A &#8230; on 19 March, 2008<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<pre><\/pre>\n<p>                                          &gt; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0  <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=Title\">Title<\/a>: The Minister of State in the Ministry of Rural Development laid a statement regarding status of implementation of the recommendations contained in the 29th report of Standing Committee on Rural Development on Demands for Grants\u00a0\u00a0 (2007-08), pertaining to the Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development.   <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0  <\/p>\n<p>THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (SHRI CHANDRA SEKHAR SAHU): Sir, on behalf of Dr. Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, I beg to lay the Statement\u00a0on\u00a0\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0 status\u00a0\u00a0of\u00a0\u00a0 implementation\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0the\u00a0\u00a0 recommendations contained in the Twenty-ninth Report of the Standing Committee on Rural Development (Department of Rural Development) (2007-08) (14th Lok Sabha) in pursuance of the Direction 73 A of the Hon&#8217;ble Speaker, Lok Sabha.\n<\/p>\n<p>The Twenty-ninth Report of the Standing Committee on Rural Development (14th Lok Sabha) was presented to the Lok Sabha on 14th May, 2007. The Report relates to the examination of Demands for Grants of the Department of Rural Development for the year 2007-08. Action Taken Report on the recommendations\/ Observations contained in the report of the Committee was sent to the Standing Committee on Rural Development on 30th October, 2007.\n<\/p>\n<p>There are 58 recommendations made by the Committee in the said Report where action is called for on the part of the Government. These recommendations mainly pertain to the issues concerning the schemes for generation of self-employment and wage employment, provision of housing to rural poor, rural roads, monitoring of implementation of rural development   <\/p>\n<p>* Laid on the Table and also placed in Library. See No. LT 8506\/08  <\/p>\n<p>programmes and other quality inputs such as assistance for strengthening of District Rural Development Agency Administration, training, human resource development, development of voluntary action etc. for proper implementation of the programmes.\n<\/p>\n<p>The present status of implementation of the various recommendations made by the Committee is indicated in the Annexure to my Statement, which is laid on the Table of the House.
