Justice M.SASIDHARAN NAMBIAR\n\n Dated :17\/09\/2009\n\n O R D E R\n             M.SASIDHARAN NAMBIAR,J.\n\n             ------------------------------------------\n              CRL.M.C.NO. 1619 OF 2009\n             ------------------------------------------\n\n            Dated      17th September             2009\n\n\n                          O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>           Petitioner         is     the     second     accused in<\/p>\n<p>S.T.143\/1996 on the file of Judicial First Class<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate-I, Aluva taken cognizance for the offence<\/p>\n<p>under Sections 2(ia) (a) (m), 7(i), 17(1)(a) (i) &amp;<\/p>\n<p>(b)  16(1)  (a)   (i)      (ii)      of     Prevention     of  Food<\/p>\n<p>Adulteration    Act. This petition is filed under<\/p>\n<p>Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure                 to quash<\/p>\n<p>the cognizance taken contending that continuation of<\/p>\n<p>the proceedings is an abuse of process of court. It<\/p>\n<p>is contended that food articles                 were purchased 14<\/p>\n<p>years  back and in such circumstances, continuation<\/p>\n<p>of the proceedings is illegal.\n<\/p>\n<p>         2.
