RC No 19554 \/AP.2 (2) \/98 dt. 26.6.1998 of the 2nd respondent, quash the said orders dt. 22.8.1995, 20.5.1996 and 26.06.1998 of  Respondents 4, 3 and 2 respectively. Since the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal was abolished, the O.A. was transferred and numbered as Writ petition.   \n\n\t\tFor Petitioner\t\t..\tMr. M. Ravi\n\n\t\tFor Respondents\t\t..\tMr. S. Sivashanmugam,\n\t\t\t\t\t\t        Government Advocate\n\n\nORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>\t The petitioner challenges the proceedings imposing punishment of stoppage of increment for 2 years  with cumulative effect in this writ petition.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2.  The learned counsel for the petitioner  fairly submits  that the appeal and the review filed by the petitioner before the  Government were dismissed.  There after the  petitioner had preferred a mercy petition before the Government and that the same is pending  with the Government.  He would submit that a direction may be issued to the Government to dispose of the  mercy petition.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t3. Heard. Mr.S. Sivashanmugam, counsel for the respondent. In view of the limited prayer sought for, the respondent Government is  directed to dispose of the petition dated 21.10.1998 on merits. The petitioner is entitled to make further representation  along with the copy of the  earlier petition  made to the  first  respondent  and same<\/p>\n<p> shall be considered and disposed of within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
