JUSTICE R.K.MERATHIA\n\n            For the Petitioner        : None\n            For the Respondents       : Mr. Saurav Arun, Advocate\n                                             -----\n4\/01.04.2011<\/pre>\n<p>              In this writ petition, petitioner has challenged the order<br \/>\n            no. 1497 dated 31.07.2009, issued by the Deputy Commissioner,<br \/>\n            Dhanbad ( respondent no. 2), under which arms license of the<br \/>\n            petitioner has been cancelled.\n<\/p>\n<p>                          According to the petitioner, the license was granted after<br \/>\n            due verification and it has been cancelled wrongly and that too<br \/>\n            without following the principles of natural justice. It is further stated<br \/>\n            that petitioner has been granted bail in the appeal filed against the<br \/>\n            conviction.\n<\/p>\n<p>                          Mr. Saurav Arun, learned counsel for the State, submitted<br \/>\n            that license has been cancelled after taking into consideration the<br \/>\n            relevant aspects of the matter and petitioner claims himself to be an<br \/>\n            employee of BCCL and a member of political party-Jharkhand Mutki<br \/>\n            Morcha and that petitioner had two arms          and that there is no<br \/>\n            justification by the petitioner why he gave a wrong permanent<br \/>\n            address and that the principles of natural justice was not required to<br \/>\n            be followed in this case when it was found that the license has been<br \/>\n            obtained on suppression of material facts.\n<\/p>\n<p>                          It appears that the license was cancelled not only on the<br \/>\n            ground of conviction under sections 302\/120B\/34 of the Indian Penal<br \/>\n            Code but also on the ground that petitioner suppressed the<br \/>\n            permanent residential address and that there was recommendation<br \/>\n            of the Superintendent of Police also for cancellation of license.\n<\/p>\n<p>                          I find force in the submission of Mr. Saurav Arun that<br \/>\n            license has been cancelled after taking into consideration relevant<br \/>\n            aspects of the matter including suppression of material facts by the<br \/>\n            petitioner. There is nothing to show that how such ground was wrong.\n<\/p>\n<p>                      In the circumstances, I find no reason to interfere with the<br \/>\n            impugned order. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. However,<br \/>\n            no costs.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                                       ( R.K.
