Through this petition, the petitioner seeks approval for the revised fixed charges in respect of Assam Gas Based Power Project for the year 2003-04, after considering the impact of additional capital expenditure incurred during that year.\n<\/p>\n<p>2. Shri H. M. Sarma for Assam State Electricity Board submitted that ASEB through its fax message dated 22.9.2006, had requested for an adjournment and accordingly sought adjournment. Shri Bora for the petitioner has objected to the prayer for adjournment on the ground that he along with other officials has come all the way from Shillong to participate in the proceedings.\n<\/p>\n<p>3. The prayer made on behalf of the respondent, ASEB is allowed. List this petition on 26.10.2006. It is, however, made clear that in future, the requests for adjournment, if unavoidable, be made sufficiently in advance and with the consent of the concerned parties or at least with prior intimation to them.
