(ORAL)\n<\/pre>\n<p>          Notice of motion.\n<\/p>\n<p>          Ms. Monica Chhibber Sharma, Assistant Advocate<\/p>\n<p>General, Punjab, accepts notice.\n<\/p>\n<p>          The   petitioner    seeks   a   mandamus   directing   the<\/p>\n<p>respondents to release the payment along with interest for the<\/p>\n<p>work executed by him.\n<\/p>\n<p>          The petitioner is a A-Class Government Contractor,<\/p>\n<p>who is stated to have executed the work of de-watering of pond,<\/p>\n<p>allotted to him by the respondents, within the stipulated period<\/p>\n<p>and to the satisfaction of the authorities. However, the due<\/p>\n<p>payment is not being released to the petitioner, despite a legal<\/p>\n<p>notice dated 04.11.2008 (Annexure P-1) served upon the<\/p>\n<p>respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\"> C.W.P NO. 2139 OF 2009                            -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>           It appears that the petitioner is entitled to be paid<\/p>\n<p>certain dues on account of the work executed by him.
