Justice HARUN-UL-RASHID\n\n Dated :18\/08\/2007\n\n O R D E R\n                        K.BALAKRISHNAN NAIR &amp;\n\n                          HARUN-UL-RASHID, JJ.\n\n                     -----------------------------------------\n\n                      W.P.(C) NO. 24086 OF 2007-P\n\n                     -----------------------------------------\n\n                          Dated 18th August, 2007.\n\n                                 JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>Balakrishnan Nair, J.\n<\/p>\n<p>       The petitioner, which is a Trust, claims the right to administer the<\/p>\n<p>Trikalanjoor Sree Mahadevar Temple at Kalanjoor in Pathanamthitta<\/p>\n<p>district. The respondents 3 and 4 seriously dispute the said claim.<\/p>\n<p>       2. It is common case that the dispute between them concerning the<\/p>\n<p>right to manage the temple is pending before the competent civil court. In<\/p>\n<p>view of the above position, police protection sought for administering the<\/p>\n<p>temple cannot be granted. But, we feel that the police should take effective<\/p>\n<p>steps to maintain peace in the temple and its premises. We notice the<\/p>\n<p>submission made by the learned Government Pleader that at present there is<\/p>\n<p>no law and order problem. In case there is any breach of peace, the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner or the party respondents, as the case may be, may move the<\/p>\n<p>police. In that event, the police shall take active steps to maintain law and<\/p>\n<p>order in the area.
