Higher Education &amp;\nOthers\nPetitioner Counsel :- Neeraj Tiwari\nRespondent Counsel :- C.S.C.,Anurag Khanna\n\nHon'ble Dilip Gupta,J.\n<\/pre>\n<p>Venkateshwara Institute Of Compuer Science &amp; Technology,<br \/>\nMeerut (hereinafter referred to as the &#8216;Institute&#8217;) and its<br \/>\nChairperson have filed this petition for quashing the<br \/>\nrecommendation made by the Chaudhary Charan Singh<br \/>\nUniversity, Meerut (hereinafter referred to as the &#8216;University&#8217;) to<br \/>\nthe State Government on 15th July, 2009 for granting permanent<br \/>\naffiliation for M.Phil. Education Course with effect from Session<br \/>\n2009-2010 to the extent that affiliation has been granted for only<br \/>\nten seats instead of sixty seats. The petitioners have also sought a<br \/>\ndirection upon the University to recommend the case of the<br \/>\npetitioner-Institute for permanent affiliation for sixty seats in<br \/>\nM.Phil Education Course instead of ten seats.\n<\/p>\n<p>The records of the writ petition indicate that earlier the petitioner-<br \/>\nInstitute was granted affiliation for the session 2008-09 for sixty<br \/>\nseats in M.Phil. Education Course on the basis of the No Objection<br \/>\nCertificate issued by the State Government and the University.<br \/>\nHowever, when the Institute submitted the application for grant of<br \/>\npermanent affiliation for sixty seats, the University has made<br \/>\nrecommendation to the State Government for grant of permanent<br \/>\naffiliation for ten seats only instead of sixty seats. The records of<br \/>\nthe writ petition also indicate that the petitioners have submitted a<br \/>\ndetailed representation dated 7th January, 2010 to the Registrar of<br \/>\nthe University for redressal of the grievances raised in the present<br \/>\npetition.\n<\/p>\n<p>Sri Anurag Khanna, learned counsel appearing for the respondent-<br \/>\nUniversity states that an appropriate order shall be passed on the<br \/>\nsaid representation expeditiously.\n<\/p>\n<p>In view of the aforesaid, this petition is disposed of with a<br \/>\ndirection to the Registrar of the University to pass an appropriate<br \/>\norder on the representation filed by the petitioners, expeditiously,<br \/>\n preferably within a period of two weeks&#8217; from the date a certified<br \/>\ncopy of this order is filed by the petitioners before the Registrar of<br \/>\nthe University.\n<\/p>\n<p>It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated upon the merits<br \/>\nof the case, which shall be considered by the Registrar of the<br \/>\nUniversity in accordance with law.\n<\/p>\n<p>Order Date :- 19.1.2010<br \/>\nNSC\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Allahabad High Court Venkateshwara Institute Of &#8230; vs State Of U.P.
