The appellant is before this Colurt for’-enlia,r1_Cernpeint of
\ncompensation.\n<\/p>\n
2. Learned counsel for the iapipe’llant~i.Vsi;lomits that the<\/p>\n
appellant was ten years old  onfxtlie idiate of “aecident (ie, on<\/p>\n
20.09200 “driving of the lorry by
\nits driver,  left lower limb and crush
\ninjury to right ,TheIrivght.V.lieg.ii~’I’rom knee level was amputated.
\n    cIa.imant was treated in Government<\/p>\n
I-los.pital”at Harappaiiahalli, and thereafter at Bapuji Hospital at<\/p>\n
 Davanagere for aj–peiriod of three months. The claimant was a<\/p>\n
Hstudent and also assisting his parents and earning ?500\/– per<\/p>\n
;   the Tribunal has taken notional income at<\/p>\n
 annum and applied multiplier of ’15’ instead of<\/p>\n
 ‘   and awarded compensation of ?l,12,S00\/- towards loss of<\/p>\n
 earnings. In addition to that the Tribunal has awarded<\/p>\n
IV  <\/p>\n
:3:<\/span><\/p>\n
compensation of ?80,000\/– towards medical expenses, attendant<\/p>\n
charges, loss of amenities & marriage prospects, and pain &<\/p>\n
suffering. I-Ie submits that the compensation awarded <\/p>\n
Tribunal in the case of amputation of leg of a lad of   <\/p>\n
very much on the lower side.\n<\/p>\n
3. Learned counsel for Respondent’ <\/p>\n
company submits that the Tribunal hasA.a’warded–ii-A. adelquajteb<\/p>\n
compensation.\n<\/p>\n
4. We have perused the: ‘re_Cor_disHoi pil’ribunali.ii’i\n<\/p>\n
5. The claimant has notlproduc-ed ~’any’i~:i’e.e-ords to show<\/p>\n
that he was a studentilasiih on the date iofyia-strident. In the wound<\/p>\n
certi\ufb01cate,   the ‘claimant is mentioned as ten
\nyears. Ex.P–\u00a2l6  the  the claimant boy showing
\namputation of his”\u00abrigi1til\u00a28i ifrometihe level of knee. Ex.P-4~5 is the
\nD1’sability’:_jbeiiti\ufb01tzate iilsisU.ed…by Ibr.Eshwargouda. It is stated in<\/p>\n
Exi.P~45il’th.at~._on ;alr::i\u00e9:’o.i__int of the amputation of right leg at the<\/p>\n
 level of knee jioint;  has got permanent disability to an extent<\/p>\n
ila._&of 55%. ishino dispute about the amputation of right leg at<\/p>\n
.1  knee. If the amputation is below the knee, atleast<\/p>\n
 could have used arti\ufb01cial limb. The Tribunal has<\/p>\n
 ‘  talteniiperrnanent disability at 50% of the whole body and fixed<\/p>\n
2<\/span><\/p>\n
(i) Pain and suffering: ?50,000\/-\n<\/p>\n

at the rate of 6% per annum from the date<\/p>\n
of petition till the date of realization.<\/p>\n
