\n{Conservation} Act, 1980 in order to prevent
\n‘deforestation which causes ecotogical imbalance and
\n  ….\u00a3eads to environmental deterioration. The deforestation<\/p>\n
causes widespread concern. Section 2 of the FC Act<\/p>\n

imposes the restriction on de-reservation of forest or .<\/p>\n
use of forest land for non–forest purposes and asper ‘T V<\/p>\n
the said Section, no State Government or aizthortityiif S”<\/p>\n
shall make, except with the prior -<app-roval of S<\/p>\n
Central Government, any order dire'ctin:g'e{i) thatzthe <\/p>\n
reserved forest shall be ceasedgto be reserved; (iifthctt 2<\/p>\n
any forest land or any portion therebfmay be fused   b<\/p>\n
any non forest purpose; (iii) that__ai':y forest la'nd_rna\ufb01r
\nbe assigned by way of_Q_"teaseA or Vothenjxise to any

8.u3_l :After.the.’FC’l’Acti’—came into force, no mining
\nlease\/ licence’ can  grrtarzted in the forest area without<\/p>\n
the prior eapprovalV_Vof’the’ Central Government, which is<\/p>\n
if V’  _a condition precedentfbecause Section 2 of the FC Act<\/p>\n
 starts   non-obstante clause viz.,<\/p>\n
 anything contained in any<\/p>\n
other Iaw,fo’3″‘the time being in force in a State…”<\/p>\n
 Therefore,v._no non–forest activity can be carried on in the<\/p>\n
  area, except with the prior approval of the<\/p>\n
S’ Cen._tral Government, which means, even the State<\/p>\n
 Govemment cannot carry on any such non~forest<\/p>\n
if “activity in the forest area without the prior approval of<\/p>\n
