      The petitioners are candidates included in the ranked list<\/p>\n
published by the Kerala Public Service Commission for the post of HSA<\/p>\n
(Social Studies) in Kasargod District. The ranked list came into force<\/p>\n
on 21.10.2005. This writ petition is filed contending that though six<\/p>\n
vacancies of HSA (Social Studies) exist, the District Educational Officer,<\/p>\n
Kasargod is not reporting the said vacancies to the Commission.<\/p>\n
Pursuant to the interim orders passed by this Court in these writ<\/p>\n
petitions, the said six vacancies were reported. The petitioners have<\/p>\n
no case that besides the said six vacancies, any other vacancy of HSA<\/p>\n
(Social Studies) exists in Kasargod District. The learned Government<\/p>\n
Pleader appearing for the respondents submits on instructions that all<\/p>\n
the six vacancies reported pursuant to the interim order passed by this<\/p>\n
Court have been filed up as per the rules.\n<\/p>\n
      3.     The petitioner in W.P(C)No.24171 of 2008 has challenged<\/p>\n
Exhibits P4 and P5 Government orders whereby 30% of the vacancies<\/p>\n
of HSA (Social Studies) have been reserved for being filled up by inter<\/p>\n
district transfer. In the facts and circumstances obtaining in the cases<\/p>\n
on hand, the      challenge to Exts.P4 and P5 has become academic.<\/p>\n
W.P(C) No.24171 of 2008-C & 24702 of 2008-N  2<\/p>\n
Therefore, the challenge to Exts.P4 and P5 Government orders<\/p>\n
reserving 30% of the vacancies of HSA (Social Studies) for being filled<\/p>\n
up by inter district transfer is left open. The rank list came into force<\/p>\n
on 21.10.2005. It is no longer in force. In such circumstances, no<\/p>\n
relief can be granted to the petitioners.          These writ petitions are<\/p>\n
accordingly closed as infructuous.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
