Respondents<\/pre>\n<p>PRAYER in both W.Ps.\n<\/p>\n<p>Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of<br \/>\nIndia, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to issue a<br \/>\nPatta for a house plot, bearing Nos.13, 15 &amp; 14 respectively measuring 1308<br \/>\nSq.Ft. (0.03 cents), 1240 Sq.Ft. (0.03 cents) and 1308 S1.Ft. (0.03 cents)<br \/>\nrespectively in R.S.No.46\/12 in Puliankulam Village, Madurai South Taluk,<br \/>\nMadurai District in petitioners&#8217; favour by disposing their application dated<br \/>\n16.06.208 in accordance with the Patta Pass Book.\n<\/p>\n<p>!For Petitioners&#8230; Mr.R.Suriyanarayanan for<br \/>\n\t\t      all petitions<br \/>\n^For Respondents&#8230; Mr.R.Janakiramulu, Spl. G.P.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tfor all petitions<\/p>\n<p>:COMMON ORDER<\/p>\n<p>\tHeard Mr.R.Suriyanarayanan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners<br \/>\nand Mr.R.Janakiramulu, learned Special Government Pleader, who took notice on<br \/>\nbehalf of the respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2. The cri de coeur of the petitioner as aired by the learned counsel for<br \/>\nthe petitioner could succinctly and precisely be set out thus:\n<\/p>\n<p>\tThe petitioner having purchased a house plot bearing nos.13, 15 &amp; 14<br \/>\nrespectively measuring 1308 Sq.Ft. (0.03 cents), 1240 Sq.Ft. (0.03 cents) and<br \/>\n1308 S1.Ft. (0.03 cents) respectively in R.S.No.46\/12 in Puliankulam Village,<br \/>\nMadurai South Taluk, Madurai District, petitioned the Tahsildar concerned (R2)<br \/>\nfor effecting the change of Patta in their names.  But, it invoked no positive<br \/>\nresponse.  Hence these writ petitions.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t4.Heard the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t5. I am of the considered opinion that necessary direction could be given<br \/>\nin this regard and accordingly the following direction is issued:\n<\/p>\n<p>\tThe second respondent is directed to dispose the petitioners&#8217; application<br \/>\ndated 16.06.2008 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a<br \/>\ncopy of this order after giving due opportunity of being heard to the<br \/>\npetitioners, strictly as per the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t6. With the above direction, the writ petitions are disposed of.
