JUSTICE JASBIR SINGH\n\nPresent:        Mr.Parminder Singh Sekhon, Advocate for the petitioner\n\n                             .....\n<\/pre>\n<p>Jasbir Singh, J.(Oral)<\/p>\n<p>                By filing this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed that<\/p>\n<p>directions be issued to the respondents, to release admitted payment, due to<\/p>\n<p>him towards execution of works of raising and linings of Sunam<\/p>\n<p>distributory.\n<\/p>\n<p>                It is case of the petitioner that he has successfully executed the<\/p>\n<p>work, as mentioned above, however, the payment has not been released to<\/p>\n<p>him. Thereafter, the petitioner has served legal notices both dated 20.7.2009<\/p>\n<p>(P1 and P2) for releasing the payment, which are still pending undecided.<\/p>\n<p>                This Court feels that if there is no defect in the work executed<\/p>\n<p>by the petitioner, the authorities are not justified to detain amount due to<\/p>\n<p>him.\n<\/p>\n<p>                In view of facts mentioned above, this writ petition is disposed<\/p>\n<p>of by issuing directions to respondent No.5 to decide legal notices served by<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\"> Civil Writ Petition No.12157 of 2009                                       2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>the petitioner and if there is no legal hitch, release admitted payment to the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner, within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this<\/p>\n<p>order, failing which, the petitioner shall be entitled to get interest @ 8% per<\/p>\n<p>annum from the date the amount had become due to it till its realisation.
