The Applicant filed her RTI application dt.2.6.08 with the CPIO, DoP, Raipur.\n<\/p>\n<p>       She stated that she had sent Rs.600\/- by M.O on 15.4.08 and wanted a copy<br \/>\n       of the Money Order Form. She also wanted to get information regarding the<br \/>\n       documents sent in connection with a money order sent by the Postal<br \/>\n       Department, Raipur to one Mr. Shanti Lal Das. The CPIO replied on 1.7.08<br \/>\n       enclosing the information against Point No.1. Not satisfied with the reply, the<br \/>\n       Applicant filed an appeal dt.13.8.08 with the Appellate Authority reiterating<br \/>\n       her request for the information. The Appellate Authority replied on 18.8.08<br \/>\n       stating that information against Point No.1 has been provided and information<br \/>\n       against Point 2 is denied since it is third party information. Aggrieved with<br \/>\n       this reply, the Applicant filed a second appeal dt.6.12.08 before the CIC<br \/>\n       reiterating her request for the information.\n<\/p>\n<p> 2.    The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the<br \/>\n       hearing for April 29, 2009.\n<\/p>\n<p> 3.    Mr. Ramesh Iyer, Market Executive &amp; CPIO and Mr. D.K. Shukla, Asstt.\n<\/p>\n<p>       Director &amp; Appellate Authority represented the Public Authority.\n<\/p>\n<p> 4.    The Applicant was not present during the hearing.\n<\/p>\n<p> Decision<\/p>\n<p>5.     The Respondent submitted that the Appellant is seeking information about a<br \/>\n       third party Mr. Shanti Lal Das, in order to settle a personal dispute and hence<br \/>\n       the information has been denied under Section 8(i)(j) of the RTI Act.      The<br \/>\n       Commission observed that the Appellant has not cited any public interest or<br \/>\n       public activity while seeking     third party information.     Accordingly, the<br \/>\n        Commission upholds the decision of Appellate Authority and denies the<br \/>\n       information belonging to Mr. Shanti Lal Das under section 8(i)(j) since the<br \/>\n       disclosure has no relationship with any public activity or interest.\n<\/p>\n<p>6.
