Heard learned counsel for the<\/p>\n<p>                      petitioner and the State.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                2. Petitioner superannuated while<\/p>\n<p>                      serving as Electrical Superintendent in the<\/p>\n<p>                      Irrigation Mechanical Division, Water Resource<\/p>\n<p>                      Department, Balmiki Nagar with effect from<\/p>\n<p>                      31.12.2002. He has filed this writ petition on<\/p>\n<p>                      30.03.2007 praying, inter alia, to direct the<\/p>\n<p>                      authorities to pay his admitted dues. In this<\/p>\n<p>                      connection he has referred to Letter No. 1801<\/p>\n<p>                      dated 06.09.2006 of Sri Ramkishore Prasad<\/p>\n<p>                      Singh, the then Executive Engineer, Irrigation<\/p>\n<p>                      Mechanical       Division,    Water      Resource<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>         Department,       Balmiki        Nagar,    Annexure-4,<\/p>\n<p>         whereunder      a   sum     of    Rs.     17002\/- and<\/p>\n<p>         Traveling Allowance of Rs. 11,155.00p is<\/p>\n<p>         admitted as payment due to the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>         under House Rent, Arrears of second time<\/p>\n<p>         bound promotion and Traveling Allowance<\/p>\n<p>         dues. This writ petition has remained pending<\/p>\n<p>         for over four years but till date no counter<\/p>\n<p>         affidavit has been filed disputing the contents<\/p>\n<p>         of   the   letter dated 06.09.2006           which is<\/p>\n<p>         addressed to the lawyer of the petitioner Sri<\/p>\n<p>         Rajesh Kumar Maltha.\n<\/p>\n<p>                    3. Having heard counsel for the<\/p>\n<p>         petitioner and the State, I direct the Executive<\/p>\n<p>         Engineer,      Irrigation   Mechanical        Division,<\/p>\n<p>         Water Resource Department, Valmiki Nagar to<\/p>\n<p>         release the aforesaid payment, if not already<\/p>\n<p>         released, as early as possible, in any case<\/p>\n<p>         within a period of two months from the date of<\/p>\n<p>         receipt\/production of a copy of this order<\/p>\n<p>         before the Executive Engineer.\n<\/p>\n<p>                    4. The writ petition is, accordingly,<\/p>\n<p>         disposed of.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<pre>P.K.P.
