Justice T.R.RAMACHANDRAN NAIR\n\n Dated :08\/09\/2010\n\n O R D E R\n        K.M.JOSEPH &amp; T.R.RAMACHANDRAN NAIR, JJ.\n         ------------------------------------------------------\n                  W.P.(C) No.22181 of 2010-W\n             ----------------------------------------------\n          Dated, this the 8th day of September, 2010\n\n                           J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>K.M.Joseph, J.\n<\/p>\n<p>              Petitioners have approached this Court seeking the<\/p>\n<p>following relief:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>     &#8220;to issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ<br \/>\n     order or direction directing the respondents 2 and 3 to<br \/>\n     provide adequate and sufficient police protection to the<br \/>\n     life of the petitioners their family members.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>              2. The case of the petitioners in short is as follows:<\/p>\n<p>There is threat to their lives and the lives of their family<\/p>\n<p>members from the 4th respondent and two others. This is on<\/p>\n<p>the basis that the brother of the petitioners&#8217; Tahir owed<\/p>\n<p>amounts to them. Tahir is in Dubai and he              stated to the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners that he had not borrowed any amount as alleged<\/p>\n<p>by the trespassers.\n<\/p>\n<p>              3.     The 4th respondent denies the allegations<\/p>\n<p>made by the petitioner. A counter affidavit is filed by the 4th<\/p>\n<p>respondent wherein cheques alleged to have been given by<\/p>\n<p>Tahir have been produced. In view of the facts of the case,<\/p>\n<p>the writ petition is disposed of as follows:<\/p>\n<p>              As and when petitioners bring to the notice of the<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">WPC No.22181\/2010                -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>3rd respondent any threat from the 4th respondent to their lives<\/p>\n<p>or the lives of their wives, their children, their aged mother<\/p>\n<p>and their elder sister from the 4th respondent, the 3rd<\/p>\n<p>respondent shall look into the same and if the complaint of<\/p>\n<p>threat is found to be genuine, he shall afford sufficient police<\/p>\n<p>protection to the lives of the petitioners, the lives of their<\/p>\n<p>wives, their children, their aged mother and their elder sister<\/p>\n<p>from the 4th respondent.
