Justice V.GIRI\n\n Dated :26\/06\/2009\n\n O R D E R\n                            V.GIRI,J.\n                     -------------------------\n                 W.P ( C) No.16790 of 2009\n                     --------------------------\n               Dated this the 26th June,2009\n\n                       J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>      Petitioner,  a   society     registered   under  the<\/p>\n<p>Travancore-Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable<\/p>\n<p>Societies   Registration Act      seeks a direction to the<\/p>\n<p>Government to consider its application for assignment of<\/p>\n<p>land in which a club was functioning till recently.<\/p>\n<p>According to the petitioner, the club was established in<\/p>\n<p>the year 1953 in a property which was leased out to the<\/p>\n<p>club by the Government. Later, the club was called upon<\/p>\n<p>to surrender the Government land and pursuant to the<\/p>\n<p>direction issued by this Court,          extended time was<\/p>\n<p>afforded to the petitioner to surrender the same. Land<\/p>\n<p>has been surrendered as well. Thereafter, a new set of<\/p>\n<p>office bearers were elected. They have submitted an<\/p>\n<p>application for assignment of 13.69 cents of property, as<\/p>\n<p>per Exhibit-P4, which is pending before the Government.<\/p>\n<p>It is appropriate that the Government looks into Exhibit-<\/p>\n<p>W.P ( C) No.16790 of 2009<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                  2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>P4 and takes a decision on the same.
