Sarojini, retired as Deputy<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner from Agricultural            Income Tax and Sales Tax<\/p>\n<p>Department on 29.2.1996. According to the petitioner although<\/p>\n<p>she had 30 years of qualifying service,              only 29 years was<\/p>\n<p>reckoned for calculating pensionary benefits. It is stated that Smt.<\/p>\n<p>Sarojini expired on 3.7.2009 and that the petitioner is getting<\/p>\n<p>family pension based on the 29 years qualifying service of the<\/p>\n<p>deceased. According to the petitioner the qualifying service ought<\/p>\n<p>to be corrected is 30 years, and on that basis pensionary benefits<\/p>\n<p>and family pension will be revised.<\/p>\n<p>      2. Evidently the claim relates to the service prior to 1996<\/p>\n<p>when the petitioner&#8217;s wife retired from service. This claim is now<\/p>\n<p>raised after 14 years of her retirement and therefore is highly<\/p>\n<p>belated.
