Labour Commissioner)\n\nDate of Hearing:                                                19\/08\/2009\n\nDate of Decision:                                               19\/08\/2009\n\nFACTS<\/pre>\n<p>:-\n<\/p>\n<p>       The matter, in short, is that the Appellant&#8217;s father sustained some physical injuries<br \/>\nwhile working for M\/s. JP Associates at Tihari Dam Project. The Appellant has been<br \/>\ncorresponding with the Labour Department for award of compensation to his father.<br \/>\nAs he did not receive the requisite response from the Labour Department, he has filed the<br \/>\npresent appeal before this Commission.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.     Heard on 19\/08\/2009. Appellant not present. The public authority is represented<br \/>\nby the officer named above. It is the submission of Shri Lal that vide their letter dated<br \/>\n24\/07\/2009, the Appellant has been advised that his father will have to file a suit before<br \/>\nthe competent authority of the Labour Department under the Workmen&#8217;s Compensation<br \/>\nAct and that it is for such competent authority to provide relief to the Appellant&#8217;s father.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                                        DECISION<\/p>\n<p>3.
