Reason why the Property tax and Rateable value for Flat No. 208 &amp; 210, Golf Apartments, was<br \/>\n        enhanced in 2001-2002 and the same was not applied to all the self occupied flats in Golf<br \/>\n        Apartments.\n<\/p>\n<p>    2. The reason why the above mentioned flats were discriminated against and levied enhanced tax.\n<\/p>\n<p>Reply of the Public Information Officer (PIO)<br \/>\nDetailed assessment orders regarding the flats were issued to the Appellant vide A.O. No. D-<br \/>\n5940\/DD(Tax)\/2007 dated 15\/11\/2007 and D-5941\/DD(Tax)\/2007 dated 15\/11\/2007.\n<\/p>\n<p>Grounds for the First Appeal:\n<\/p>\n<p>Unsatisfactory information provided by the PIO.\n<\/p>\n<p>Order of the First Appellate Authority (FAA):<br \/>\nAdditional information was submitted by the PIO during the hearing based on which the FAA held that<br \/>\nthe information sought by the Appellant was complete in totality.\n<\/p>\n<p>Grounds for the Second Appeal:\n<\/p>\n<p>Unfair disposal of the Appeal.\n<\/p>\n<p>Relevant Facts emerging during Hearing:\n<\/p>\n<p>The following were present<br \/>\nAppellant: Dr. Kalpana Khosla;\n<\/p>\n<p>Respondent: Mr. Parshadi Lal, Public Information Officer &amp; Dy. Director;\n<\/p>\n<p>       The appellant has two flats flat no.208 and 210 of area 1480 and 1587sqr. feets at Golf Apartment,<br \/>\nNew Delhi. The rateable value determined for this by the property tax dept. of NDMC is Rs.263700\/- and<br \/>\nRs.282800\/-. This rateable value has been determined on 01\/02\/2008 and has been given retrospective<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                                                                             Page 1 of 2<\/span><br \/>\n effective from the year 2001 onwards. The appellant is agitated because for flats on the same floor as her<br \/>\nclearly lower rateable value is being charged. She has produced the rateable value charged for flat no. 214<br \/>\nof 2140 Sqr. feet Golf Apartment New Delhi for which rateable value of Rs.87700\/- has been determined.<br \/>\nThis truly a transparent admission of arbitrariness. Some senior officers in NDMC should look into this<br \/>\ngross disparity in determining the rateable value.
