The Appellant filed his RTI application dt.30.3.09 with the CPIO, DoP,<br \/>\n      Gopalganj requesting for information against 14 points with regard to the all<br \/>\n      the RD accounts opened in the post office including the dates on which the<br \/>\n      accounts were opened, names of the depositors, amounts deposited, dates of<br \/>\n      maturity, when they are expected to redeem the amounts etc.           The CPIO<br \/>\n      transferred the request to a Complaint Inspector on 9.4.09 to provide the<br \/>\n      information.   The Complaint Inspector responded on 27.4.09 to the CPIO<br \/>\n      while providing point wise information which was forwarded to the Applicant<br \/>\n      on the same day. Not satisfied with the reply, the Applicant filed an appeal<br \/>\n      dt.4.5.09 with the Appellate Authority stating that he has received only partial<br \/>\n      information.   On not receiving any reply from the Appellate Authority, the<br \/>\n      Applicant filed a second appeal dt.27.6.09 before the CIC.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.    The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the<br \/>\n      hearing for October 27, 2009.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.    Shri Sudarshan Prasad, CI representing CPIO represented the Public<br \/>\n      Authority.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.    The Applicant was not present during the hearing.\n<\/p>\n<p>Decision<\/p>\n<p>5.    The Commission after careful consideration of the RTI request and the reply<br \/>\n      provided by the CPIO holds that information sought is indeed personal in<br \/>\n      nature and denies disclosure u\/s 8(1)(j) as it would cause unwarranted<br \/>\n      invasion of the privacy of the individuals and also since the disclosure has no<br \/>\n      relationship with any public activity or interest.\n<\/p>\n<p> 6.
