Gupta,<br \/>\nSecretary of  Primary Education Department, who is present before<br \/>\nthis Court and who has tried to explain the situation.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.\tThe<br \/>\nmain grievance of the petitioners is that the respondent authorities<br \/>\nhave acted in haste, whereby the interest of the petitioners and<br \/>\nother candidates belonging to the reserved category is jeopardized<br \/>\nbecause of the action of permitting candidates belonging to reserved<br \/>\ncategory to enter into merit list in open category to be posted and<br \/>\ncounted against the reserved category posts.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.\tThe<br \/>\nrespondents have tried to explain that no injustice is caused to<br \/>\nanyone. In fact, the posts are district category posts and<br \/>\nmeritorious reserved category candidates are given station of choice<br \/>\nby permitting them to be posted against the reserved category posting<br \/>\nand be counted as such. The resultant effect would be that the better<br \/>\nmeritorious candidates from the reserved category would be selected<br \/>\nover a list of meritorious reserved category candidates. In any<br \/>\nevent, it has not happened that appointment is given to the open<br \/>\ncategory candidates against the posts or vacancies of the reserved<br \/>\ncategory when discrepancies were indicated by the learned advocates<br \/>\nfor the petitioners about the selection process held on 20th<br \/>\nAugust, 2011 being revised, it was indicated that there was an error<br \/>\nof judgment in calling the general category candidates and all posts<br \/>\nof open category could not be filled in and therefore, there was a<br \/>\nrevision made which is also empathetically indicated that the number<br \/>\nof posts for reserved category candidates are being filled up and in<br \/>\nall probabilities more reserved category candidates will get<br \/>\nappointment.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.\tIn<br \/>\n\tlight of the reversion situation, interim relief is required to be<br \/>\n\tgranted at this stage. Let respondents file an appropriate affidavit<br \/>\n\tsupporting their version.
