The<br \/>\nCPIO replied on 22 January 2008 and informed him that the said housing<br \/>\nloan was sanctioned to another individual and the necessary information in<br \/>\nthis regard had already been provided to that borrower. Not satisfied with<br \/>\nthe reply, he filed an appeal before the Appellate Authority on 2 February<br \/>\n2008. Following this, the authorised signatory in the Bank wrote to him on<br \/>\n29 April 2008 in English and on 5 May 2008 in Hindi providing further details<br \/>\non the loan. In the meanwhile, however, the Appellant had already written<br \/>\nto the CIC by way of a second appeal alleging that he had not been provided<br \/>\nwith the desired information.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.     During the hearing, the Appellant was not present. The Respondent<br \/>\nwas present and made his submissions. He had also filed written comments<br \/>\non the appeal. The Appellant had written to the Branch Manager of the IDBI<\/p>\n<p>CIC\/PB\/A\/2008\/00849-SM<br \/>\n Home Finance Ltd on 5 May 2008 acknowledging receipt of complete<br \/>\nrepayment instalment statement and PDC details. He also indicated in that<br \/>\nletter that if he would need any more information, he would do so in future,<br \/>\nmeaning thereby that he was satisfied with the information sent by the<br \/>\nCPIO. It is obvious that the Appellant had sought the loan account details of<br \/>\na third party. Normally, such information should be exempt from disclosure<br \/>\nbeing in the nature of commercial confidence as provided in Section 8(1) (d)<br \/>\nof the Right to Information (RTI) Act. In this case, however, the CPIO<br \/>\ndisclosed all the details of the borrower &#8216;s loan account. There is nothing<br \/>\nmore to be done in this case since all the information has already been<br \/>\nprovided to the Appellant to his satisfaction.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.     The appeal is, thus, disposed off.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.
