Singla, Advocate,\n            for the petitioners.\n                         *****\n\nRANJIT SINGH, J.\n<\/pre>\n<p>            The petitioners have filed this writ petition to impugn the<br \/>\norder passed by the Collector under Section 10-A of the Punjab<br \/>\nVillage Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961 cancelling the auction<br \/>\nof the panchayat land in favour of the petitioners. Auction of this land<br \/>\nwas fixed on 12.5.2011 and would not be carried out because no<br \/>\nbody participated in the same. Suddenly, on one day this land was<br \/>\nauctioned in favour of the petitioners, which has now been cancelled.\n<\/p>\n<p>            The Collector has clearly noticed that this auction was<br \/>\ndone in connivance with respondent Nos.2 to 9 before the Collector<br \/>\nwithout proclamation, without advertisement and without taking<br \/>\npossession even after winning the case for eviction under Section 7<br \/>\nof the Act by the Gram Panchayat and, thus, this auction was not as<br \/>\nper rules. The cancellation order accordingly was passed. The result<br \/>\nwould be that land would be put to auction where the petitioners<br \/>\nwould be at liberty to participate.
