No.30399 of 2011\n                               Mahendra Singh son of late Raghu Nandan Singh\n                                                    Versus\n                                            The State Of Bihar\n                                                  -----------\n<\/pre>\n<p>2.      15.9.2011              Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and the<\/p>\n<p>                    State.\n<\/p>\n<p>                               The petitioner seeks bail in Barachatti P.S. case<\/p>\n<p>                    No.40 of 1998 (S. Tr. No.31 of 2011\/ 23 of 2011) instituted for<\/p>\n<p>                    the offence u\/ss.147, 148, 149, 341, 342, 307, 323, 324, 376,<\/p>\n<p>                    354, 511, 448 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code.<\/p>\n<p>                               Considering that the case is of the year 1998 and the<\/p>\n<p>                    petitioner surrendered only recently, I am not inclined to grant<\/p>\n<p>                    bail to the petitioner.\n<\/p>\n<p>                               The prayer for bail is rejected.\n<\/p>\n<p>                               If there is inordinate delay in conclusion of the trial<\/p>\n<p>                    for reasons not attributable to the petitioner, he may renew his<\/p>\n<p>                    prayer for bail.\n<\/p>\n<p>                               It has been submitted that the petitioner is 89 years<\/p>\n<p>                    old man, which fact will be verified by the court below and if it<\/p>\n<p>                    is found that indeed the petitioner is an old man and unable to<\/p>\n<p>                    move freely, the court below shall release the petitioner on<\/p>\n<p>                    bail on surety fixed by it.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<pre>     Narendra\/                            ( Anjana Prakash, J. )\n <\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Patna High Court &#8211; Orders Mahendra Singh vs The State Of Bihar on 15 September, 2011 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT PATNA Cr.Misc.
