       Petitioner who is the 1st accused in Crime No.1054\/2005 of Central<\/p>\n
Police Station, Ernakulam for offences punishable under Sections 365 and<\/p>\n
395 IPC, seeks his enlargement on bail.           The occurrence took place<\/p>\n
on.28.08.05. The petitioner was arrested on 13.01.09.<\/p>\n
       2. The application was opposed on behalf of the prosecution.<\/p>\n
       3.    Having regard to the nature of the offences, the nature of<\/p>\n
injuries sustained by the injured, the relatively short duration of the judicial<\/p>\n
custody undergone by the petitioner, the present stage of investigation and<\/p>\n
the other facts and circumstances of the case, I am satisfied that if the<\/p>\n
petitioner is released on bail, he will definitely influence and intimidate the<\/p>\n
prosecution    witnesses.    There is also the likelihood of    the petitioner<\/p>\n
making himself scarce and fleeing from justice. I am, therefore, not inclined<\/p>\n
to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.\n<\/p>\n
       This petition is accordingly dismissed.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
