NO.  652 OF 2007\n\n                =================================\n\n                Dated this the 28th day of February 2007\n\n\n\n\n                                  O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The   revision   petitioner   stands   convicted   for   the   offence   under<\/p>\n<p>section   138   of   the   Negotiable   Instruments   Act   and   sentenced   to<\/p>\n<p>undergo   simple   imprisonment   for   six   months   and   to   pay   a<\/p>\n<p>compensation of Rs.85,000\/- vide section 357 (3) Cr.P.C and in default<\/p>\n<p>to undergo simple imprisonment for one month.<\/p>\n<p>      2.     The   counsel   for   the   revision   petitioner   has   sought   for<\/p>\n<p>modification  of  sentence  and  for   time  to   make   the  payment.     In  the<\/p>\n<p>circumstances, sentence is modified to imprisonment till rising of the<\/p>\n<p>court.  The rest of the sentence is retained and affirmed.  The revision<\/p>\n<p>petitioner is granted six months time from today onwards to make the<\/p>\n<p>payment.     He   shall   appear   before   Judicial   First   Class   Magistrate,<\/p>\n<p>Chittur on 30.08.2007 to receive sentence.<\/p>\n<p>      The Crl. R.P is disposed of accordingly.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                            K.R.
