RAVINDRAN, J.\n                     -------------------------------\n                      W.P.(C) No.3249 of 2011\n                     -------------------------------\n           Dated this the 8th day of February, 2011\n\n                           J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>            The petitioners are students undergoing the B.Tech<\/p>\n<p>Degree course in Mar Baselius Christian College of Engineering and<\/p>\n<p>Technology, Idukki.      They appeared for the combined I and II<\/p>\n<p>semester examination conducted by the Mahatma Gandhi University in<\/p>\n<p>April,2010. The results were published on 29.9.2010. The petitioners<\/p>\n<p>and others failed in the paper &#8220;Engineering Graphics&#8221;. It is stated that<\/p>\n<p>the petitioners have thereupon applied for revaluation of their answer<\/p>\n<p>scripts. This writ petition is filed seeking expeditious revaluation of<\/p>\n<p>their answer scripts on the ground that unless the revaluation is<\/p>\n<p>expeditiously held, they will be put to serious prejudice.<\/p>\n<p>            2.   When the writ petition came up for hearing on<\/p>\n<p>1.2.2011, the learned standing counsel was directed to get<\/p>\n<p>instructions as to whether petitioners have applied for revaluation of<\/p>\n<p>their answer scripts in the subject &#8220;Engineering Graphics&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>            3. Today, when the writ petition came up for further<\/p>\n<p>hearing, Sri.T.A.Shaji, the learned standing counsel appearing for the<\/p>\n<p>Mahatma Gandhi University submitted that petitioners 1 to 7 have<\/p>\n<p>applied for revaluation     in time, but the 8th petitioner has not<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C) No.3249 of 2011<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">                                    2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>submitted an application for revaluation. He also submitted that the<\/p>\n<p>University will take steps to revalue the answer scripts of petitioners<\/p>\n<p>1 to 7 and communicate the results to them expeditiously.         In the<\/p>\n<p>light of the said submission and having regard to the fact that more<\/p>\n<p>than 4 months have passed after the result of the combined I and II<\/p>\n<p>semester B.Tech Degree Examination was published, I am of the<\/p>\n<p>opinion that the University should take expeditious steps to revalue<\/p>\n<p>the answer scripts of petitioners 1 to 7.\n<\/p>\n<p>              I accordingly dispose of the writ petition with a direction<\/p>\n<p>to the respondents to take expeditious steps to have the answer<\/p>\n<p>scripts of petitioners 1 to 7 in the subject &#8220;Engineering Graphics&#8221; of<\/p>\n<p>the   combined I and II semester B.Tech Degree Examination held in<\/p>\n<p>April, 2010 revalued and to communicate the results to them<\/p>\n<p>expeditiously and in any event within 8 weeks from the date of receipt<\/p>\n<p>of a certified copy of this judgment.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                              P.N.
