Justice ANTONY DOMINIC\n\n Dated :15\/01\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                             ANTONY DOMINIC, J.\n                      - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n                             W.P.(C)No. 1676 of 2008\n                      - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n                  Dated this the 15th day of January 2008\n\n                                       JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>             Petitioner submits that though she had participated                  in several<\/p>\n<p>items including Bharathanatyam except in Bharathanatyam, in all other items<\/p>\n<p>she has been given first prize with A-grade.                   It is stated that in order to<\/p>\n<p>exclude the petitioner from State level competition in Bharathanatyam, she<\/p>\n<p>has been deliberately ranked low and given second prize. Petitioner also<\/p>\n<p>submits that in the last year, she was first in the State.<\/p>\n<p>       2. On instructions, learned Government Pleader submits that all the<\/p>\n<p>judges have unanimously assessed that the first prize winner to have<\/p>\n<p>performed better than the petitioner. It is also stated that in Bharathanatyam,<\/p>\n<p>the difference in marks between the petitioner and the first prize winner is `8&#8242;.<\/p>\n<p>       3. Although the petitioner contends that it was only to deny her first<\/p>\n<p>prize in Bharathanatyam that she has been                     wrongly assessed, I am not<\/p>\n<p>persuaded to accept the contention of the learned counsel.
